Hungry Ear

"The Hungry Ear," begins its 12th season celebrating the art of the short story at the Broome County Public Library. For its February program, it will feature two stories of love and romance, one old and one new. O'Henry's, A Service of Love, tells of a young couple, each with their own dreams and expectations of art and love in NYC; read by Caitlin Westfall. Gil Choi reads Kevin Barry's modern tale of an Irish lad and a Polish immigrant meeting in a backwater village in The Coast of Leitrim. Judy McMahon hosts as local actors give dramatic readings.
