Summer Reading Sign-ups Begin June 29th

Every Hero Has a Story

We have lots of fun programs planned for families and kids of all ages! Families completing their Summer Reading Logs by August 22 will receive B-Mets tickets and free books for each member of the family, and these families will also be entered into a drawing for a Barnes & Noble Nook!  If you'd like to download and print out the Summer Reading Log and start working on it from home, please email

Hungry Ear June 29 @ 5:30

At the June program, Andy Horowitz will tell Paul Bowles You Left Your Lotus Pods on the Bus, a light-hearted tale set in Thailand. An American professor touring the country finds out he has a lot to learn. Richard Mancuso reads Miracle Polish by Steven Millhauser. A bottle purchased from a door-to-door salesman - oh, oh, we have to stop right there or we'll spoil the story. These dramatic portrayals by some of our finest local actors have been continuing since 2007. Judy McMahon created the program, based on 'Selected Shorts' out of NYC.
